Rabbi’s Classes Schedule
Due to the previous short week, Rabbi Yuter’s Sunday class on The Politics of Exclusion in Judaism will NOT meet this week, but will resume the following week and will discuss the rise and challenges of Conservative Judaism.

Rabbi Yuter’s Who’s Who in the Talmud WILL meet this Tuesday at 7:30pm and will discuss R. Yehuda HaNasi

Scholar In Residence Kiddush
Shabbat May 14th – Parashat Behar
Stanton Street Shul is honored to present a talk by Professor Eliyahu Stern following a special kiddush on Shabbat, May 14.

Elli Stern received his Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley in 2008. From 2009-2010 he was Junior William Golding Fellow in the Humanities at Brasenose College and the Oriental Institute, University of Oxford. He researches the transformation and development of traditional and religious worldviews in Western life and thought. In particular, he focuses on modern Eastern European Jewry, Zionism, secularism, and religious radicalism. Currently, he is finishing a book entitled The Genius: Elijah of Vilna and the Making of Modern Judaism to be published by Yale University Press in 2012. He is a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations, a Fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute, and a consultant to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, Poland.

Volunteer Day
Sunday May 15th, 10:30am
The Stanton St. Shul will one again be welcoming Temple Shaarei Tefilah for our next Volunteer Day. Everyone from the shul is encouraged to attend for a day of bagels, bleach, and brotherhood. It’s a great opportunity to help keep our shul running while meeting some wonderful people.
Shavuot Dinner / Learning Program
