Our community dinners are always a great time, with good food and even better company. Join us for this Shabbat dinner on June 23rd at the cutest little synagogue in the LES. We'd love to have you.
We will be having a special guest for this dinner: Dr. Sam Fleischacker. Dr. Fleischacker will share words of Torah after the dinner on the topic: "What Korach Got Wrong - Why the People of Israel are Not Holy."
Samuel Fleischacker is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and currently a Berggruen Fellow at NYU. He studied at Yale University, receiving his Ph.D. in 1989. He works in moral and political philosophy, the history of philosophy, aesthetics and the philosophy of religion. Dr. Fleischacker has been a Fellow of the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford, the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities at Edinburgh University, and the University Center for Human Values at Princeton.
Services will begin at 7:15 pm and dinner will start at approximately 8:00 pm. Due to the high demand, registration will close on June 20th at 7:00 pm unless we sell out earlier. Please register for the dinner ($30 members, $35 non-members, $100 very appreciated sponsors, includes dinner for two) by using the form below.
