This Shabbat is Shabbat Shira, the Shabbat of song. In this week's Torah portion, Miriam gathers the women and leads them in music and dance after the parting of the Red Sea. In the haftara, we hear the song of Deborah, another example of a woman’s voice shaping how Jewish memory and redemption are carried forward.
Join the Women’s Tefillah Group this Shabbat morning, January 31 at 9:30am, downstairs in the Beit Midrash, as we raise our voices like Miriam and Deborah.
All women are welcome, whether this is familiar or entirely new.
