Chalking in Memory of Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Victims
Sunday, March 25, 2018 • 9 Nisan 5778
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM78 Clinton StreetWe will be chalking for the only mother and son pair who died in the Triangle Fire.
Julia Rosen (35 years old) had just brought her oldest son Israel (17 years old) to the U.S. to work at the same factory that she did so that they could both support his 3 younger siblings. Chalk and yartzeit candles are fine to bring as well as yourself and friends. This is an interactive street memorial. March 25th is the 107th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. Join us in Chalking their names outside of the building where they lived.
