Join the Stanton Street Shul for Weekend at Bernie's, an extra special Kiddush event and memorial, in honor of a long-time congregant and friend, Bernard "Bernie" Osofsky, Z"L, this Shabbat following services. A few community members who knew Bernie well will share some words, as we bring our community together in honor and memory of a beloved friend.
We will also be saying farewell to David Elkins, another beloved friend of our Shul who is returning to Israel. We look forward to seeing you there!

Reflecting on the 3GNY Yom HaShoah Evening of Remembrance
Thank you to all who attended Monday’s moving Yom HaShoah Evening of Remembrance, hosted in memory of the millions of lives lost and forever changed by the horrors and traumas of the Holocaust. Speakers shared stories, poems, reflections, and testimonies that honored their grandparents and other Holocaust survivors, and highlighted the meaningful bonds between resilient survivors and their descendants. The event was well-attended, and we were glad to once again welcome the 3GNY community into our Shul, for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. May we continue to unite as a community, and may we never forget our history. Images from the event are pictured below.
This year, Yom Hazikaron (Israeli Remembrance Day) falls out on the evening of April 24 and the day of April 25, and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) takes place on the evening of April 25 and the day of April 26. Looking for ways to commemorate Israel’s fallen and celebrate Israel's 75th Birthday? Check out these local events:
