We are proud to once again offer free High Holidays services at Stanton. For the complete schedule and to register in advance, click here!

Since we do not charge or require tickets for these programs and prayer services, we ask that you consider making a generous High Holidays contribution -- whatever that means for you -- to help ensure that we can continue to offer welcoming and dynamic services, classes, children's programs and more, on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and the year round. We are proud to offer engaging and educational experiences for children in the Stanton community, and we have a full calendar of High Holiday kids programming, complete with tefilah, parasha learning, holiday activities, singing, movement, and healthy kiddush and snacks.

Our teaching staff this year includes Katie Lemmerling, an experienced Early Childhood teacher who previously taught at Luria Academy of Brooklyn and the JCC of Manhattan, and Danielle Bendavid, who has previously led our children's programming. Our programs are recommended for children 2 to 6 years of age, but children of all ages are welcome.

Thank you to the StantonKIDS committee -- Program Coordinator Laura Weisblatt, Lindsey Bodner, Aliza Deutsch and Elissa Sampson -- which has worked hard to ensure the success of this program. November might seem like a long time from now, but it's never too early to mark your calendar for Stanton's (sort of) Annual Benefit, which will be held on the evening of Tuesday, November 15, at the Angel Orensanz Center.

The Evening To Benefit the Historic Stanton Street Shul will honor our friends April Stewart Klausner and Paul Klausner, and we will bestow the Nachshon Young Leadership Award on our members Wendy Chin and David Tuchman!

The evening will feature cocktails, dinner and entertainment. All proceeds will benefit the Stanton Street Shul Building Fund.

Our friends at the Kenkeleba Gallery are showing local artist Aviva Green's large-scale pastel paintings at an exhibition at 219 E. 2nd St., Wed-Saturday, 11am-6pm. The exhibit runs until October 15.

In order to take full advantage of our dynamic new site, each community member will get a private account, where you can update your contact information, add family members and lifecycle dates, keep track of your donations and payments to the shul, and more!
If we already have you in our directory, you should have received an email with all of the info you need to login and set up your account. If you did not receive that email and would like an account, please email tech@stantonstshul.com and we'll get you set up!

One of the many strengths of our shul is the variety and multiple talents and abilities of our congregants. It takes a lot to run our shul and our programming, and we can probably use your help. Are you a tech guru, web design aficionado, or social media wiz? A master event planner, fundraiser, or program coordinator? An accountant, lawyer, or investment professional? A trained carpenter, electrician, or contractor? If you have any of these or other skills, professional or amateur, that you'd like to contribute to Stanton, speak to Rabbi Bodner, Rivky Friedman, or another member of the board and let's think about how we can help make Stanton flourish together.

Looking for a way to give back to Stanton, not right now, but maybe at some point in the future? Consider planning a long-term gift to the shul. We encourage anyone interested in discussing various ways to plan a gift now that will be given in the future to contact Board members Michael Gordon or Rivky Friedman, or Rabbi Bodner. There are many ways to go about planned giving and we are happy to discuss the various options that might work for you.
