Tuesday, June 11, 2024 Erev Shavuot Candle Lighting at 8:09pm Join us for Maariv at 8:15pm, followed by a light dairy buffet dinner and community learning at 9pm. Classes are open to all and will be led by Rabbi Ben Birkeland, Dvir Cahana and Shalhevet Cahana.
Topics Include:
How do we receive the Torah, Vorts and all? Understanding the rabbinic method of grappling with challenging Taught by Dvir Cahana
Examining Megillat Ruth in the Context of Art Taught by Shalhevet Cahana
We wish Dvir and Shalhevet farewell, and thank them for bringing so much Torah, light, and learning to the Stanton community in the short time that they have been with us. Next Stop: They will be moving on to a community in Miami, Florida, where Dvir will serve as the BASE Moishe House Rabbi, and Shalhevet will be teaching middle and high school Judaic Studies at the Jewish Leadership Academy. We wish them a big Mazel Tov and all of the best in their future endeavors.

This year's theme was "Tequila & Kehila", and we were grateful to come together as a kehila to celebrate our beloved Shul, and all of the incredible people who make our community what it is. Dear Stanton Community,
We are shaking from the war breaking out in Israel. Hamas has fired thousands of rockets, over 136 citizens are hostages, and over 1,200 Israelis are dead with thousands more wounded. There are also thousands dead in Gaza -- innocent civilians caught in the line of fire.
This is unprecedented and the most deadly attack on Israel in a generation. We must take action. In addition to our prayers, we ask you to consider making a generous donation to one of the listed causes.
The One who makes peace on high, may He bring peace down below to us, Dvir and Shalhevet Cahana
