Women's Tefillah Group - This Shabbat!
Join us this Shabbat as we come together in prayer and read the Torah portion that bids farewell to our matriarch Sarah and welcomes our matriarch Rebecca. It’s a beautiful moment in the Torah and a meaningful opportunity to share in learning, connection, and tefillah.
We’ll meet in the Beit Midrash / Social Hall for Shacharit at 9:30 AM and Torah reading at 10:30 AM, followed by Mussaf and Kiddush.
Whether you’ve joined us before or this will be your first time, we’d love for you to be part of it!
Jewish Book Council - Coming to the LES!
In honor of Jewish Book Month 100, Jewish Book Council, in partnership with UJA Federation-NY and the Charles H. Revson Foundation, is turning 81 Hester Street into a cozy Jewish bookstore. From November 16 -17, Jewish Book Council is giving away 1,000 free Jewish books, hot chocolate, and Jewish literary goodies. Find more details here.
JBC has also donated a book "house" and books to our shul! You will see them displayed in the social hall!
Weekly Class: Megillat Esther with Rabbi Birkeland!
Join Rabbi Birkeland for a new series delving into the rich story, history, and theology of Megillat Esther. Together, we’ll explore how this timeless text speaks to of courage, identity, and Divine presence hidden in plain sight.
The class is Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm via Zoom, and you can join here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88084709743
