Sell Your Chametz TODAY!

The deadline for selling chametz through Stanton is Today, Thursday, April 6.

Before Pesach it is a requirement to eliminate all chametz (leavening) from our possession. However, in those circumstances where elimination is not an option, Jewish law does allow for chametz -- especially and preferably only in non-bread-like form (e.g. liquors, mixtures, etc.) -- to be sold to a gentile.

Arrangements for such sale may be made through Rabbi Aviad Bodner. To do so, download the form by clicking here, fill it out, and return it to Rabbi Bodner NO LATER than Thursday, April 6. Which is TODAY! You can email your form directly to Rabbi Bodner at rabbi@stantonstshul.com.

Please note that Rabbi Bodner will be selling Chametz only for those who are New York residents and are spending Pesach in the New York time zone. Rabbi Bodner does not accept personal monetary gifts for this service. He does however, welcome contributions to the Synagogue which will be used to fund the Synagogue's classes, events, and programs.

Wishing you all a chag Pesach kasher v'sameach!

Volunteering at Stanton

One of the many strengths of our shul is the variety and multiple talents and abilities of our congregants. It takes a lot to run our shul and our programming, and we can probably use your help. Are you a tech guru, web design aficionado, or social media wiz? A master event planner, fundraiser, or program coordinator? An accountant, lawyer, or investment professional? A trained carpenter, electrician, or contractor? If you have any of these or other skills, professional or amateur, that you'd like to contribute to Stanton, speak to Rabbi Bodner, Rivky Friedman, or another member of the board and let's think about how we can help make Stanton flourish together.

Planned Giving at Stanton

Looking for a way to give back to Stanton, not right now, but maybe at some point in the future? Consider planning a long-term gift to the shul. We encourage anyone interested in discussing various ways to plan a gift now that will be given in the future to contact Board members Michael Gordon or Rivky Friedman, or Rabbi Bodner. There are many ways to go about planned giving and we are happy to discuss the various options that might work for you.
