Jewish Medical Ethics Class, at the Museum at Eldridge - Wednesday Mornings in August

This series will cover some of the most discussed topics of medical ethics from a Jewish perspective. We will explore the primary sources and follow the development of Jewish law regarding some complex and sensitive issues including abortion, time of death and organ donations.

This new series of classes will meet at the Museum at Eldridge Street on Wednesday mornings in August (11:00 am- 12:30pm) and is taught by our Rabbi Bodner. Cost: $20 per class. The classes are free of charge for members of the Stanton Street Shul with advance registration at office@stantonstshul.com.

Elul Shacharit Minyan, 7:00 - 7:30 am, Wednesdays

As a community we will attempt to strengthen our relationship with God by increasing our tefilot at the synagogue. During the month of Elul (beginning on Wednesday, August 15th) we will be having a minyan every Wednesday morning at 7:00 am.

The dates of the minyanim will be: August 15, 22 and 29 and Sep 5. As you are contemplating how you can strengthen your relationship with God and with the community during this time of reflection, we ask you to consider taking part in this initiative. See you at Shacharit!

Women's Discussion Group - Sunday, August 26, 11:30 am

The next women's discussion group will be on Sunday, August 26th (11:30 am) @ the Shul. The topic of discussion - "Self esteem & well-being: the gendered faces of emotion and how to overcome them". The discussion will be facilitated by Brina Chu. Contact brinachu3@gmail.com for more details.
