Fixed time for Kabbalat Shabbat 5:15 pm - For November and December

This is a reminder that daylight savings time has started this week and Shabbat begins at 4:26 pm; much earlier than last week.

As we did in previous years during the winter months at the Stanton Street Shul, we will have a later Kabbalat Shabbat starting at 5:15 pm every week for the next few months. The purpose of the later prayer service is to provide an opportunity for the many people who work until the final moments of Friday to get to shul and welcome Shabbat. Please remember to daven Mincha before coming to shul and to recite Shema before coming to shul on Shabbat morning.

This Week - Veterans Day Lecture - Rabbi Andrew Scheer - Shabbat, November 10

He spent five years with the 354th Movement Control Battalion based out of Fort Totten, NY. For three of those years, he was detailed to the United States Military Academy at West Point serving as Chaplain for Alpha Company during Cadet Basic Training and as a liaison to the Jewish Chapel during the academic year. In 2014, he co-led the only Taglit-Birthright trip solely composed of cadets, midshipmen, zoomies and other students from America's Service Academies.
