  • Mazal tov to Rivky and David Friedman on the birth of their daughter, Penina Malka. Mazal Tov to big sister Sonya and to the grandparents Dr. Edith Honig and Linda & Lawrence Friedman.
  • Many joined us for an evening honoring IDF on Satuday night with Avigdor Kahalani and more than 100 people attended the opening reception of an exhibition: Yiddish Cosmos by Yevgeniy Fiks on Sunday. See pictures below.

New Class with Rabbi Bodner - Tefillah, Fridays 10 minutes after candle lighting time until 5:15 pm

Join us on Friday nights after candle lighting, for Torah study before Kabbalat Shabbat about Tefillah (prayers) its stucture, meaning, and laws. We look forward to having you join us.

 

This Shabbat, we will also meet on Shabbat afternoon at 4:10p for a class on the Parasha with Rabbi Bodner on the topic of The Rape of Dina, followed by Maariv and havdalah.

Beginning this week! MusiKef - New Music Class for Toddlers on Wednesday Afternoons - Nov 28

MusiKef is a series of music and dance classes for kids 1 to 3 years old, focusing on Israeli and Jewish traditions and songs, giving the kids a little taste of Israel through the introduction of the Hebrew language.

Join us on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 pm (4 classes, Nov 28 and Dec 5, 12 and 19.) Kids will have Kef (fun) listening to music, singing, moving around, and experiencing new things!

$10 per class for shul members or Olam Katan students ($30 for all 4 classes) $20 per class for non shul members ($60 for all 4 classes.) Click here to register.

Women's Tefillah for Parashat Vayeshev: Shabbat Morning, December 1

All women are invited to participate in our Women's Tefilah and Torah reading for Parashat Vayeshev, on Shabbat morning, December 1.  The women's tefillah group will be celebrating Shifra Mincer's upcoming marriage to Eric Steiner.  

Services will begin at 9:30 am and will take place downstairs in the beit midrash.

Shabbat Dinner for Channukah! - Dec 7

Save the date for our next community Shabbat dinner coming up in December for Channukah! More details and registration coming soon. 

Upcoming StantonKIDS for Channukah - Shabbat, December 8th @ 10:30 am

Join us for our next StantonKIDS class with Rabbi Bodner! The class will be on Shabbat Channukah/Parashat Miketz (Saturday, December 8th) from 10:30am-12pm. All children are welcome!

Pre-Purim Costume Gala in honor of Jeff Katz

For the past couple of years, Jeff Katz has tirelessly worked his magic on our formerly tired 106 year old building, bringing it back to shining life. On March 17, Stanton members and friends will gather, in costume, at the Shul to honor Jeff. The funds we raise will finance current and future work on the Shul's sanctuary and balcony space. Save the Date for an amazing evening.
