This Weekend - Shabbat with Rabbinic Candidate - Rabbi Ben Keil, July 12-13

Rabbi Ben Keil, is one of the impressive candidates we discovered through our search and has been invited to meet the Stanton community. This is an opportunity for our community to gain a sense of his personal, spiritual and leadership skills.   

 

Rabbi Ben Keil has been learning at at the RIETS Israel Kollel for three years, and teaches Gemara at Yeshivat Orayta in the evenings.  He grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, and attended Boston University, where he and his wife Dana met.  Rabbi Keil spent two years teaching at the Breuer's Mesivta High School, a year running the youth department at Lincoln Square Synagogue, and two years as Executive Director of LSS before their family moved to Jerusalem to spend time learning.  The Keils, and their children Meir (5) Ashira (3) and Livia (1) are excited to return to New York City this summer, at which time Rabbi Keil will be fulfilling his residency requirements for semicha at RIETS. Rabbi Keil also holds private semicha from Rabbi Joseph Polak, the Av Beit Din of the Rabbinical Council of New England.

Women's Discussion Group - Sunday, July 14, 10:30 am

The next women's discussion group will be on Sunday, July 14th the Shul. The topic of discussion - Sexuality and Family Purity  The discussion will be facilitated by Brina Chu. Contact brinachu3@gmail. for more details.

Farewell Kiddush to the Bodner Family - Shabbat, July 27th

Please join us at shul on Shabbat, July 27th as we prepare to say good-bye to the Bodner family. All are welcome to attend a special dairy kiddush following davening and share words of farewell.

Shloshim for Moshe Wilkominsky z"l, July 30th at 7:00 pm

Join us on Tuesday, July 30th at 7pm for a Shloshim to commemorate the life of Moshe Maurice Wilkominsky z"l – Moshe Sholmo ben Yitzchak.
