LAST CHANCE TO GET TICKETS THIS SUNDAY - Pre-Purim Costume Gala in honor of Jeff Katz, Sunday evening, March 17 For the past couple of years, Jeff Katz has tirelessly worked his magic on our formerly tired 106 year old building, bringing it back to shining life. On March 17, Stanton members and friends will gather, in costume, at the Shul to honor Jeff. Stanton's Mishloach Manot Project Mishloach Manot, sending food gifts to friends and family, is one of the four Mitzvot performed on Purim. It is a heartfelt way to emphasize the Jewish unity that lies at the core of the Purim holiday, and to create meaningful connections within our own community at the same time. Through Stanton's MishloachManot project, you can participate in giving a beautiful gift basket to your friends and family at Stanton, which they will receive on Purim when they come to shul.   If you are a shul member, you received an email with your personal log-in code and instructions for how to participate in the project. Women's Reading of Megillat Esther on Purim Once again, we will be holding our annual Women's Reading of Megillat Esther on Purim Night, March 20 (Wednesday Night). Yahrtzeit Kiddush for Victims of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, Shabbat Morning, March 23 We invite you to remember with us all those who perished in the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and honor their memory in the Lower East Side with a traditional kiddush to mark the anniversary of their passing (sponsored by Dr. Elissa Sampson and Prof. Jonathan Boyarin.) Their ongoing struggle to earn a living as poor immigrants reminds us of the necessity of defending immigrant rights, and the rights of poor people today.

Singer Song-Writer Night, Sunday, April 7 Join us for a night of acoustic music by a few members of the synagogue and a few of their friends on the new balcony of our shul. This evening will feature original songs written and sung by the artists listed.  The format will include stories of the creative process and songs in the works. Come by to support the songwriters and the synagogue. More details coming soon.
